The history of the MBA dates back to over 100 years ago. However, the online MBA came to life only in the last 2 decades. Since its debut, it has experienced an increasingly upward curve in enrollment numbers at academic institutions as more and more people are showing keen interest in developing their careers in business and management.

Online MBA Programs in UAE and Saudi Arabia

UAE and Saudi Arabia are home to some of the most technologically advanced and experienced professionals in the business and management sector. Many of these people are in higher managerial positions such as CEOs and COOs, although they may NOT have been through rigorous traditional MBA programs. Instead, these individuals understand the value of time and are the most keen on pursuing online courses from international business schools worldwide.

Stafford Global as an international institution that recommends the online MBA programs in Riyadh and Dubai for professionals seeking to advance their careers and financial statures without disrupting their personal and professional lives.

As we monitored the growing trend in demand for professionals in Saudi Arabia who hold an online MBA, we deciphered the statistics to bring together the most highly-ranked UK business universities to train students in business administration and management remotely. The most cost effective program is the Edinburgh Napier University MBA course that provides candidates the opportunity to specialize in a field of their liking.

Perception by Employers and Students

Most recruiters and employers are now accepting of online MBA degrees provided they are earned from top ranked and well reputed academic institutions. There are a number of cheaper, faster, less rigorous options available but they usually fall short in terms of learning and understanding of key business concepts and terminology. This shortfall hurts the candidates in the long run as even though they have an MBA degree, they do not possess the knowledge and skills of someone who has pursued the course through an academic institution.

Employers (and to an extent government institutions)  understand that today, the quality of an online MBA is just as good as one offered in a physical, on-campus setting. Online MBA program rankings speak volumes about the quality of education the institution offers. Some employers, however, still have a bit of stigma towards online MBA degrees. When it comes to students, more and more professionals are taking up an MBA course online because it opens doors to work promotions, entrepreneurial ventures, and overall improved performance in one’s line of work.

Online MBA Programs -  No GMAT?

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer adaptive test that is taken to access various analytical, verbal, reading, writing, and quantitative skills in written English. The test is selectively used in admission criteria for an MBA course. Most distance learning courses have not made GMAT a compulsory entry requirement as they believe that working professionals with a minimum of 4 years of managerial level work experience would normally possess the required analytical and quantitative skills for successfully completing an MBA program.
