A PGCEi or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International) is a master's level qualification, equivalent to 60 credits of a complete master's degree. Educators working in different streams are often quite familiar with this qualification, as it caters to teachers and educators from any background. The PGCEi is an international level qualification which is accepted by most educational institutions as a relevant certificate in the field of teaching.
The PGCEi introduces a student to various master's level concepts of instruction and learning. As students concentrate on learning and adopting new approaches towards teaching, it can simultaneously assist them in evaluating and revolutionising their own workplace strategies. The programme trains a student into becoming capable and resourceful. This programme also prepares an educator to approach roles from an international perspective, allowing students to learn different teaching techniques from around the world.
The PGCEi through Stafford is offered by the University of Nottingham. The university enjoys a world class reputation and the programme itself is taught by UK based tutors with years of teaching experience and research command. Each intake acts as an international classroom, consisting of educators from across the globe. The typical duration of this programme is 12 months and as it is taught part time, students are required to attend workshop sessions twice in the year to complete the requirements of the course.
Once a student successfully completes the PGCEi programme, they have the option to continue and complete a Master's Degree in Education. As the academic partner for several Universities, Stafford Global offers a Master of Education degree from the University of Dundee, a leading and highly ranked university in the UK. As part of our continuous student support and commitment, we have successfully transitioned PGCEi graduates to the Master of Education programme from the University of Dundee. As the PGCEi is a credit bearing qualification, the programme is accepted by most UK based universities offering M. Ed for credit transfers.
